Past Lives No. 2: Turquoise & Silver Spike Fringe Necklace

Past Lives No. 2 is a one of a kind chainmail bib necklace in vivid turquoise and silver anodized aluminum. A wide, flexible collar leads into a cascade in Byzantine weave, each ending in a polished silver spike.

The spikes came from a costume jewelry necklace that was passed along to me through a buy nothing group. I took it apart and wove the pieces into modern chainmail by hand. Once this piece sells, those elements are gone for good, so no two pieces are alike and nothing gets remade.

Materials: Anodized aluminum, secondhand costume jewelry spikes.
Length: 15 inches with lobster clasp closure.
Fringe drop: 4.5 inches at the longest point.
