She is bandaged, bruised, stitched together by necessity. This body has been hurt and keeps being hurt. The heart beneath her is split wide open, heavy and exposed, and she lies there anyway. Not conquered. Not cured. Still breathing.

This is the kind of strength no one romanticizes. The strength of living inside pain. Of refusing to disappear. Of occupying a damaged body and calling it yours. Feral survival. Bloody tenderness. Staying.
