Camelia
Camelia
Camelia came from a time when I felt pulled in every direction and overwhelmed by changes I did not expect. I kept thinking about the camellia trees outside my front door. They drop endless piles of petals each season, beautiful but constant, and the way they covered my steps felt like a reflection of everything piling up in my life.
The background of decaying camellia flowers became a symbol of burnout and exhaustion. The vines, bugs, and bones represent the feeling of slowly breaking down, of needing rest but being unable to take it. Even as everything inside me was asking to stop, life kept demanding more.
The central figure screams because she cannot pause, even when she is at her limit. Camelia is about the moment when beauty turns into burden and the need for rest becomes impossible to ignore.
