Dasom
Dasom
Dasom is a deeply personal artwork that was created during a challenging time in my life. The name Dasom means "love" in Korean, and this piece was born out of my struggle to connect with the people around me. I felt like I was giving so much love to those in my life, but it wasn’t being received in the way I had hoped, leaving me emotionally drained.
Looking back, I realize that I was offering more of myself than others were able to accept, and in doing so, inadvertently pushing them away. Dasom reflects the pain I was experiencing at the time, and the sense of love being lost or unreciprocated. It’s about the vulnerability of opening up to others and the risks that come with it.
This piece reminds me of how important it is to find balance in relationships and be aware of how much we give to others. Dasom is a testament to the complexities of human connection and the challenges we face in navigating love, loss, and boundaries
