Love Is Dead (Valentine’s Series)

This series grew out of a longing for the kind of love we are taught to want, the grand, consuming love that promises to make us whole. Instead, these pieces sit with what happens when devotion becomes self-erasure, when love is poured endlessly into something that cannot return it.

Bodies and bones share space here as symbols of intimacy, depletion, and survival. These works explore queer tenderness, exhaustion, and the moment when giving everything finally stops. What remains is not romance as fantasy, but care redirected inward, love reclaimed from the place where it was slowly emptied out.
