Mia & Marie
Mia & Marie
This piece is about holding more than one possibility at once. The selves we carry forward. The selves that linger. The ways identity gathers rather than resolves, allowing multiple truths to live side by side without canceling each other out.
Below the faces, the body opens into bone and structure, softened by time and quiet growth. Within the ribcage, eyes appear, tucked into the places meant to protect the heart. They suggest the parts of us that stay hidden and watchful. The selves we keep inward, observing rather than speaking. Ribs become a place of holding, where memory, experience, and becoming settle into something shared.
Mia & Marie reflects the reality of living with many versions of oneself at once, and learning how to make room for all of them.
